  1. Protect yourself again scams and check out the seller before you buy.
  2. Try to negotiate a lower price.
  3. Look for national name brand equipment.
  4. Try to determine the condition of the equipment before you buy.
  5. Ask the seller if they still have the owner’s manual for the equipment
  6. Know what you are buying, if it’s a single phase or three phase motor
  7. Purchase the right size for your needs
